We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Tacoma in June!
Here are a few tips to get out to Tacoma:
By Plane: SeaTac or SEA is the major regional airport closest to Tacoma. It’s a 30-45 drive, depending on traffic and most major airlines fly in and out of this hub. We’d highly recommend using Alaska Airlines (window’s blowing out, notwithstanding).
By Train: Once you’ve arrived at SeaTac, you can train down to Tacoma, if you’d like. You’ll have to hop on an Uber to get to the Tukwila Longacres Sounder S Line train station. Schedule depends on day and what time you’re coming in. That rail line will take you all the way down to the Tacoma Dome Station, where you can catch a Lyft or Uber to your final Tacoma destination.
By Car: I think the furtherest we have anyone driving will be from Kirkland, WA, but if you’re flying in and are thinking about renting a car, there are plenty of options available at SeaTac. And getting from the airport to Tacoma is straightforward even if there’s traffic. You’ll simply take I-5 South until you hit Tacoma.
By Foot: That’s ambitious (unless you’re our neighbors reading this). Good luck. Pack the essentials (medkit, compass, pocketknife, extra water, high-protein snacks, etc…).
A note on lodging:
We’ve left 3 options below for lodging. We recommend option 1, as it’s closest to our venue (you can walk!). These are just suggestions! You may find that alternative lodging (Airbnb or VRBO) is better suited for your party size and budget. If you have any questions about where you should stay, send us a text and we’ll try to help guide you.
